The Cryptography Behind DonutRain: How HMAC-SHA256 Ensures Absolute Fairness
Provably fair gaming is the cornerstone of trust at DonutRain. Unlike traditional casinos that rely on closed-source black boxes, our games empower players to mathematically verify every single outcome using cryptographic hashes.
Our implementation uses the industry-standard HMAC-SHA256 algorithm combined with deterministic seeds.
The Three Components: Server Seed, Client Seed & Nonce
Every bet uses a Server Seed (generated cryptographically on our secure servers and published as a SHA-256 hash prior to play), a Client Seed (chosen by your browser or customized by you), and an incrementing Nonce (the sequential bet number for that seed pair).
The Mathematical Formula
The outcome is computed via HMAC_SHA256(key = server_seed, message = client_seed + ":" + nonce). The resulting 64-character hexadecimal string is partitioned into 4-byte integers, which are mapped uniformly across the game’s target range (e.g. 0 to 99.99 for Dice, or row bucket drop probabilities for Plinko).
Verifying on GitHub or External Calculators
You never need to trust our server. You can paste your unhashed server seed and client seed into any public SHA-256 calculator or our provably fair page to confirm that the game result was mathematically predetermined and untampered with.
